Sambucus nigra Golden Tower in 3 and 10L pots
Family Adoxaceae
Garden origin
A spectacular display of deliciously loud and flamboyant foliage. As fine and delicate as it is bombastic, the leaves are slender and finely lobed, feather shaped and gracefully curving on long stems, brilliant acid yellow – mellowed by shades of lime green – spectacular! They are borne on vigorously growing upright stems, typical of our native Elder, and form an upright shrubby habit that is easily pruned into a miniature tree like form, see the photos of the specimen in our display gardens at Urban Jungle Suffolk, near Beccles. White flower clusters appear in summer followed by red berries in autumn.
Our Sambucus nigra Golden Tower in 3 and 10L pots have well formed roots and will quickly establish in any soil type in sun or part shade.
Height and spread in 5 – 10 years 4m x 2m
