Crazily colourful, flamboyant and intricately detailed, evergreen and beautifully scented, this twining climber has so many qualities it is essential. Creating a brilliant vertical splash of yellow and red with its uniquely marked, densely growing, elegantly pointed variegated oval leaves, it makes the perfect tapestry for walls, gazebos or trellis. Adorned with outrageously scented, pure white, spiral star-shaped flowers in summer their scent fills the air, especially in the evening. In the absence of a vertical support it can be planted as ground cover or draped over walls or planters. Undemanding in any soil in full sun or part shade.
