Family Asparagaceae
Originating from Japan, Korea, China.
An extremely cute herbaceous perennial that has densely packed small leaves of a slender, oval shape. The lovely lime green.yellow colouration of the abundant foliage forms a compact mound, making an effective hummock of ground covering foliage amongst taller plants. The sturdy flower spikes carry dark lilac/purple tubular flowers well above the foliage, especially noteworthy as they appear to be the same size as those of larger hostas. An undemanding, easy to grow Hosta in full or dappled shade in moist woodland soil, it is also well suited to pots where it can be enjoyed at close quarters.
Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 30cm x 30cm.
