Originating from Queensland, New South Wales
- Stunning slender curved silver-grey foliage borne on bright pinky red shoots.
- Intensely aromatic leaves and white flowers.
- Hardy once established and easy to grow in all soil types.
A wide spreading, medium-sized, evergreen tree with a dense rounded/weeping crown with a rough, fissured, cinnamon bark. The slender, lanceolate leaves are blue green in their mature form, and hang gracefully, much like a willow.
Very fast growing and a young plant can grow 2.5m in its first year in the ground. As with all Eucalyptus it is wise to plant small, young plants. Eucalyptus trees respond well to formative pruning when young.
Will tolerate dry sandy and chalky soil.
Eucalyptus grow incredibly rapidly and must be planted young (under 1m) to enable good roots to establish and anchor the tree. They should not be staked and they should be planted in full sun.
