Originating from N. China and Japan
A handsome and valuable evergreen ground-covering perennial with finely toothed, glossy, dark green leaves up to 10cm long, eventually forming a compact, weed suppressing carpet that looks attractive all year round, whatever the weather. In spring it produces clusters of tiny, scented cream, flowering spikes. Perfect for covering bare soil between trees and shrubs.
Grow in full or part shade in moist but well-drained soil.
