Description

Family Asparagaceae
Originating from USA

A trunk-less, multi-suckering species forming large clumps of rosettes with straight, flexible, dark green leaves with striking yellow margins, up to 50cm long.
The margins of these sport curling, cream coloured thread-like filaments – hence its common name. In summer it produces a 1.5m flowering stem bearing tubular cream flowers.
This is a variegated form of the oldest Yucca in cultivation in Europe – introduced in the 16th century.
An extremely hardy species, tolerating a wide range of conditions and most soils. Prefers full sun.

Height and spread after 2 – 3 years 50cm x 50cm. Flower spikes rise to 1.5m tall.
Semi mature height and spread after 6 – 8 years 50cm x 1m
Potential height and spread after 15 – 20 years 50cm x 1.8m
