A cross between Echium wildprettii and pininana, Pink Fountain is a biennial or short-lived perennial forming a rosette of enormous, hairy, tapering leaves. It produces an astonishing, towering flower spike of pink flowers that are magnets for bees. After flowering it will self-seed with abandon. Be careful to leave a few seedlings for successive years.
Our Echium ‘Pink Fountain’ 3L plants will grow vigorously in poor free draining soil in full sun. Fairly hardy in southern and coastal areas, it benefits from protection with fleece during cold winters and in central and northern locations.
