Miscanthus sinensis ‘Red Chief’ is a clump forming deciduous perennial with narrow arching mid green leaves which turns to yellow in mid to late autumn. Panicles of maroon flowers are produced in summer, fading to silver grey in winter.
Grow in moist but well drained soil preferably in a sunny position, it will tolerate any soil type and some shade.
