This slow growing pine has glossy and upswept thick needles. It is a tough plant with an elegant form. It has dense foliage, giving a lush and abundant look to the plant, The slow growth rate makes it ideal for small gardens in pots, perhaps elevated where it can be seen close up, or as an architectural accent amongst other plants in the ground. Rarely seen in the UK due to the small numbers of growers grafting plants in the UK this plant is from artisan Dutch growers. This specimen is probably 10 – 12 years old already. A hardy and easy to grow species thriving in a wide range of soils in full sun.
