Prunus laurocerasus ‘Bonaparte’ plants in 3L pots
Family Rosaceae
Originating from E. Europe and S. Asia
One of the most exciting cherry laurel varieties recently introduced, with all the excellent qualities of the species but with an added spectacular display of young foliage. It bears large spikes of strongly pink flushed, scented flowers in spring, followed by black berries. Its exceptionally dense and columnar form is adorned with coppery red young foliage all season, giving it a vigorous and fiery character, and making it an ideal hedging and screening plant. It also has the potential to be pruned into a miniature tree like form. Our Prunus laurocerasus ‘Bonaparte’ plants in 3L pots are easy to grow in any soil conditions in sun or part shade.
Height and spread after 10 – 20 years 3m x 2m.
