Wonderfully textured clumps of bottlebrush-like columns of dense foliage, borne on stiffly upright orange/green culms. Its short side branches hold the pointed leaves stiffly, creating a tiered and elegant structure to each culm, and giving the clump a stunning and detailed structure. Ideal where towering bamboo is not desirable, Makinoi bamboo is a shorter growing Semiarundinaria selection, perfect for oriental style or smaller spaces. Grow this within our rhizome barrier control system to safely contain its running root system.
