Family Fabaceae
Originating from New Zealand
A little baby with a big character! This unique variety has a fascinating growth habit with wiry, tan coloured stems that grow in an angular, almost zigzag way, forming a dense, springy mound. They bear tiny, extremely cute, bright and cheerfully yellow/green deciduous leaves, sparsely enough to show off the stems and also the deep yellow tubular flowers, which appear in late spring and summer. Best planted close to paths, in pots and around sitting areas where its intricate qualities can be enjoyed at close quarters. Easy to grow in any but the heaviest wet soils in full sun.
Height and spread after 10 – 20 years 1.5m x 1.5m.
