Description

Family Fabaceae
Originating from Chile

A small deciduous tree that flowers profusely on bare arching branches in spring, providing welcome nectar for bees. The flowers hang in clusters of golden yellow flared bells and are followed by ornamental seed pods. Feathery leaves comprising tiny, fresh green leaflets create a soft-textured, open airy tree that casts light shade.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Will tolerate poor dry soil once established.

Height and spread after 3 – 4 years 2m x 1.5m
Semi mature height and spread after 6 – 7 years if not pruned 3.5m x 2m
Potential mature height and spread after 12 – 15 years 6m x 4m
