- Exquisite hanging racemes of lilac and purple scented flowers in spring and summer.
- Vigorous twining stems bear handsome large leaves, climbing on any supporting structure.
- Easy to grow in any soil in full sun or part shade. It can be trained as a standard tree or shrub.
Chunky tassels of double, fragrant blue/purple flowers up to 40cm long make a show-stopping sight in any garden setting. Furry grey seed pods follow the flowers nestled amongst the vigorous, abundant, and elegant feather-shaped foliage. Although this vigorous climber needs space to grow naturally, it is very receptive to pruning. Sporadic late flowering is possible in late summer before the leaves turn a rich golden yellow. Easy to grow in any soil in full sun or partial shade.
