Description

Family Asparagaceae
Originating from Texas, Mexico and Arizona.

An imposing and striking rosette-forming plant, capable of taking centre stage in planting compositions with its strong architectural form. The leaves can vary from brilliant silver to olive green from plant to plant, with different yet always impressive patterns and sizes of barbs on their leaf margins. After many years a 5m tall slender flower spike is produced, carrying hundreds of individual cream coloured flowers, after which it will branch, making a multi-headed specimen.

Easy to grow in poor free-draining soil, great in pots and coastal areas.

Height and spread after 10 – 20 years 1.5m x 1.5m
