Superb shredding strips of silver, white, coffee, and dusky pink-colored peeling bark clothe the trunk and branches, forming a beautiful framework for the silver and then shiny jade/sage green adult leaves that emit an intense peppermint fragrance. Its new shoots are burgundy, becoming amber-colored as they mature, forming a wide-spreading, open, and airy crown.
In summer, it bears creamy white sea urchin-like flowers, followed by urn-shaped seed pods that persist on the tree for several seasons. All eucalyptus flowers are highly attractive to pollinators.
A stunning and hardy, adaptable eucalypt that can be grown as a specimen tree or trimmed to form an excellent hedge, ideally suited to coastal gardens.
