Zap the lower levels of your exotic planting schemes with incredible colour and style with this distinctive and flamboyant bushy ground-covering species. The rich green leaves have deep carmine/burgundy-pink veins, undersides, serrated leaf margins, and stems. Add to this its orchid-like tubular blooms in yellow and peachy tones, and you have a show-stopping plant to complete any border. Spreading by shallow rhizomatous roots, its herbaceous leaves and stems reliably reappear after the winter when any unwanted spreading growth is easily removed.
Easy to grow in woodland shade.
Height and spread after 2-3 years 60cm x 1m.
