Garden origin
A very tall, broadly arching deciduous grass with long dark green leaves with stunning cream or yellow, horizontal leaf bands.
Left to its own devices it slowly runs into drifts. A jungle grass if ever there was one!
Needs full sun for the variegation to develop and prefers a moderately fertile, moist but well drained soil.
