Family Asparagaceae
Garden origin
Big and bold, elegantly curving and fluted dark brooding silver/green leaves with dark purple blotches have wow factor to spare! With the potential to form rosettes up to 1m wide, it usually forms a single impressive rosette, so densely speckled with maroon that the grey/green colour of the leaves is nearly obscured. Growing initially as a single rosette, it will produce offset (pups) at its base, when its epic 3m tall flowering spike is produced, bearing masses of long golden tubular flowers. Rosettes that have flowered die, but its young many pups continue the life of the plant.
We will do our best to package these as carefully as possible but some leaves may snap in transit.
Mature height and spread after after 5 – 10 years 1m x 1.5m
