Extravagantly arching and cascading slender leaves are borne on upright stems, forming an architectural and beautifully soft-textured vase shape. As the season progresses the weight of the foliage may arch down to the ground making a hummock of long, pendulous and deciduous finely pointed foliage. Reluctant to flower in the uk it will produce pale pink brushes of blooms above the foliage, which turn purple and burgundy after a hot summer. An outstanding specimen for prairie, coastal and Mediterranean gardens. Easy to grow in any soil type in full sun.
