Gracefully elegant, long and slender, arching deciduous leaves with a striking silver midrib are borne on upright stems down to ground level, making a compact and soft textured clump. It reliably produces pink and then deep burgundy red brush like flowers well above the foliage, turning silver in autumn and maintaining a feathery display well into winter. Stunning in prairie and mixed borders, especially planted in drifts, forming hedges or windbreaks, it is robust and easy to grow in any soil type in full sun and in coastal conditions.
Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 1.5m x 1m.
