(syn. Nandina domestica Obsessed)
Family Berberidaceae
Garden origin.
A very classy and elegant compact shrub, bringing compact and spectacularly colourful foliage to lower levels of planting schemes – a rare quality, especially with evergreen foliage. Delicate feather-shaped leaves with pointed leaflets emerge stiffly upright and bright red before mellowing to green and becoming gracefully down swept, returning to red in winter. Dainty white flowers appear in the summer months followed by red berries, adding yet further character to this tough and easy-to-grow variety. Happy in most soil types in full sun or light shade.
Height and spread in 2 – 5 years 70cm x 60cm.
