Family Lamiaceae
Garden origin.
Perfect for pollinators, pussycats, and people, the display of tubular lavender blue flowers with darker blue/purple markings, seems to attract all in the garden. The elegant flower spikes bear many individual tubular blooms, and a long succession of spikes are produced all summer, making soft, billowing mounds of hazy blue that in some light conditions appear a deeper, more intense blue. Pollinators can’t resist the flowers and the herbaceous aromatic foliage is irresistible to cats. An excellent low-level spread of colour is added to planting schemes in any style of garden. Easy to grow in any but heavy wet soil, in full sun or in pots.
Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 50cm x 1m.
