Blazing, fiery red, flushed-orange flowers are borne on this small dainty shrub for a long period throughout summer. Its low growing habit and slender mid green deciduous foliage make it indispensable in Mediterranean, coastal and gravel garden planting schemes. Planted amongst taller architectural plants, its papery petals create a delicate yet loudly coloured floral display. Looking equally at home in traditional English gardens, this adaptable, robust variety is easy to grow in poor well drained soils in full sun, tolerating drought, but will thrive in most soil types.
