Originating from western and southern Mediterranean

White felty shoots open to glossy dark green leaves, white beneath. This variety has deep blue flowers, more intense in colour than the species, and are loved by bees and other pollinators. It’s evergreen, and although the flowers are long-lasting over summer, when it has finished flowering it can be clipped to maintain a compact shrub that has all-year-round interest, or it can be grown as a low hedge.
Grow in full sun in soil that is sharply drained.
