Forming delicate and elegant spreading mounds of rich green fronds with a lacy character, belying its tough and hardy nature, thriving even in full sun. The intricate feather-shaped foliage forms bold leaflets, arranged densely on bipinnate stems, which themselves grow in profusion, making for a striking plant.
Over time, it forms colonies of ground-covering semi-evergreen foliage, making it ideal for woodland, jungle, and oriental gardens. Easy to grow in all soil types, and adaptable to all positions, but best in dappled shade with damp, humus-rich conditions.
