Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Red Head’ is a deciduous grass, bearing plumes of burgundy-red foxtails when opening which turn into huge (25cm long) smoky-purple bottlebrushes in late summer. The foliage turns golden in autumn.
Prefers well-drained soil in full sun.
