(syn. Perovskia ‘Blue Spire’)
Family Lamiaceae
Originating from Central Asia

A sub-shrub that develops a woody base with deeply cut grey/green leaves and spires of violet/blue flowers in late summer that hover over the foliage. Planted in a group the effect is of a silver and blue haze.
The stems bleach to silver and lose their leaves in winter but remain, creating attractive winter interest. Excellent companions to Eryngiums, Verbena bonariensis, Fennel and Grasses.
Grow in poor well-drained soil in sun.

Mature height and spread after 2 – 3 years 1.2cm x 60cm
